Energy Right
SCES and TVA are now offering a program called "energy right" that will save money on your power bills for years to come. The program was developed to help consumers maintain comfortable temperatures year-round while reducing cooling and heating costs on their monthly power bills. With "energy right", you can take advantage of electric heat pumps, all-electric new homes, and manufactured homes to enjoy energy efficiency and cost-saving benefits. We are also offering our customers a free on-line home energy audit. Take the Home E-Valuation today.

Electric Heat Pumps
In Sevier County, an energy-efficient electric heat pump is a smart choice to ensure comfortable temperatures in your home year-round. In the summer, a heat pump operates as a central cooling system and dehumidifier. In the winter, the heat pump functions as a heating system.

SCES offers customers low-interest, fixed-rate loans with no money down to finance the cost of the energy-efficient heat pump and its installation. Payment is conveniently tacked onto customers' monthly statements and can be spread over as many as 10 years.

The "energy-right" program includes the Quality Contractor Network (QCN) to help make the selection and installation process easier for customers. The QCN is comprised of contractors who have received special training in identifying the right heat pump for each home and installing the system properly for maximum efficiency.

New Homes
All-electric new homes in the "energy right" program are loaded with energy-saving features. These include an energy-efficient electric heat pump, double-pane windows, extra caulking, and extra insulation.

Manufactured Homes
Manufactured homes in the "energy right" program have double-pane windows, insulated doors, skirting and ground vapor barriers, proper insulation, and an energy-efficient electric heat pump.

It is extremely difficult to increase energy efficiency once a manufactured home is assembled. By selecting energy-efficient features at the start, home owners will benefit from lower power bills, year-round comfort, and a better resale value of their home.

By taking a look at what "energy right" has to offer, it is easy to see how consumers can benefit from the program. All you have to do to make the smart choice is look for the "energy right" window sign and comfort and savings are yours. Only those homes that meet the high energy-saving standards set by SCES and TVA will display the "".
